Ouch

The pain in my lower back (AKA bumma) has been getting worse and worse over the last week. I finally had enough today and went to the chiroprator. He very quickly was able to diagnose me since he could see the swelling through my clothes. I'm on rest and relaxation for the next week and lots of ice and stretching exercises. I'm so glad that it was something minor even if it keeps me off the water for another week.

Busy times

It's been a while since my last post. Sarah and the boys and I have been picking all kinds of berries. We discovered Tay berries. Delicious. Great addition to Mikes and my evening mixed berries with whipped cream on them. Great mostly healthy snacks. On July 16th Mike and I headed off to Lake Tahoe for Moeny Concepts annual summer meetiing. the first night we camped at Marster Springs in SE Oregon. This is really fun since this is where we met 43 years ago. Wow I didn't realize it had been that long until I figured it out. We had a great time. It was very peaceful and serene. The next day we took off to Reno where we were picking up a couple of friends to take to the meetings. The next morning we left Reno at 3:320 AM to get the guys to South Lake Tahoe for a fishing Trip. They had a greeat time after a freezing start. It was only 48 degrees as the boarded the boat. Every one but me was in shorts. I went to the parking lost where I went back to sleep until about 7:30. While I was doing my morning meditation and reading I was seranaded by some coyotes. It was beautiful. I really miss their songs since we moved to the big city. I'll finish more later

getting ready to leave

We are leaving for our annual summer business meeting on Friday. This year it is in Lake Tahoe - incline village. It will be fabulous once we get on the road but it sure is hectic getting ready to go. So yesterday I was out all day with errands. You know getting the car serviced, picking up last minute supplies, shopping for some fun new outfits to wear. Today was supposed to be spent getting the loose ends cleaned up at work so we wouldn't have to work while we are traveling- yeah right. that's why Mike is packing his computer and I have the a smart phone. So we get to work and we we have no Internet. This is a major problem since even our calendar is web-based. So Mike calls Clear and we get a guy who sounds like he is 70 years old and its the first day on the job possible his first day with computers. Anyway, over the next hour and a half we establish that we can get some signal from the front windows of the house and that the soonest a tech can get out is Thursday morning. We were not happy. We also discovered that the portable modem didn't work if the main modem wasn't working. Big help. We spent from 10am until 3:30 messing with trying to get a signal and all of the sudden it comes back on and it is working great. Thank you computer gods! We got some of the work done the rest will have to wait until I get back from picking Tae berries tomorrow morning with Sarah and the boys. Looking forward to that. Pictures tomorrow.
